Meet your captain: Andy Smith

Captain Andy is an experienced sailor who when not on charter lives aboard his own 51 foot sailboat Aphrodite II that he and his wife of 30 years sail down from the US East coast regularly.
Andy spent 8 years cruising and chartering in the Virgin Islands and sailed for many years on Lake Michigan.  He holds a USCG Masters license with sailing endorsement, STCW Certification, advanced Charter training Certification and open water diving certification.  He is currently taking his divemaster course.

Andy is British born and has lived in the United States and Canada for 30 years and has traveled the world extensively.

Captain Andy is laid back (except about safety),  and can converse on a wide variety of subjects thanks to his broad life experience.  He can make any charter guest feel comfortable while ensuring their safety and making their vacation aboard Lionheart a week to remember.

Weekly Rates for Captain Only Charters (up to 8 guests) include
fuel, water, moorings and use of all water sports on board.
Guests cover provisions and cruising taxes.
Scuba diving: Capt. Andy is working toward his Dive Master certification.

Guest photos and comments:

The trip went very well.  Although the boat is older, it is very well maintained and sturdy.   The boat is well equipped and user friendly for casual sailing.   The cabins were fine and the air conditioning worked well.  Captain Andy was a great fit for us, he is bright, well read, and easy to talk to.  We developed our itinerary as the week went by, he arranged for us to meet a dive master to do the Rhone.  He incorporated requests that we had but also made suggestions for things that we might want to do.  Andy also assisted with dinner suggestions and reservations.   Ed.......... 3/10
