Doug is a certified sailing instructor with Canadian Yachting Association and has a Boatmaster's License from the BVI's. Doug has been sailing and racing for over 40 years. He has owned and chartered several sailboats in the Great Lakes and the BVI's. He is an extremely patient and enthusiastic teacher. Doug encourages both novice and seasoned sailors to participate in sailing "Chateau". He has recently passed the USCG safety training course and makes an excellent Captain.

Barb started sailing with her grandfather as a child and continued to sail and race with friends after her children were born. She purchased a Grampion 26' in 1995 which she sailed with her family and friends until she sold "Banana Split" in 2001 just before meeting Doug. Barb is a warm, bubbly hostess and excellent first mate.
