Meet your crew: Peter Kirkman &
Karen Lye
Pete started sailing as a boy on his father’s boats
and has since owned several of his own. As a qualified Yacht Master he
has always been at home on the sea and introduced Karen to sailing, who
is now a qualified Day Skipper. Karen has been a qualified diver for
over 10 years and Pete is now hooked on diving and both are PADI rescue
divers.
Pete & Karen decided several years ago to swap
their successful careers in Information Technology for a more fitting
lifestyle that allowed them to fully enjoy their passion for sailing,
diving and Caribbean life. Owning and operating a crewed charter
yacht became the obvious way to make this change happen.
Pete and Karen’s love of food is another joint
passion influenced by their travels and is reflected in the cuisine
aboard TONINA. A diverse mix is always on the menu with the guest’s
special preferences fully catered for. Karen and Pete have attended
various cookery schools in the UK to broaden their knowledge and have
also worked with recognized ex-charter crews to develop their menu.
Karen's menu suggestions:
Individual omelets
Fresh baked muffins with cheese & bacon
Pancakes to order
Jerk chicken fillets on bed of salad
w/fresh bread
Mediterranean style meze
Cajun grilled swordfish w/ green bean salad
